Jesus has given the Spirit of grace
to each of us running this race.

All through our history in this vast land,
God has been shaping the church in his hand,
Leading his people with living commands.
Hear God calling:

Loving eachother, and caring for all,
Continue as light and salt.

Look at the changes in cities and towns,
Poverty, hunger, such need all around;
God is still loving, and mercy abounds.

Sisters and brothers, God has a plan
to reach out with love in your hands.

We have been given the Spirit of truth,
Moulding our lives and renewing our youth.
Now we are challenged to listen anew-

Some of our neighbours cannot make that choice
till they hear God's truth in your voice.

All of the small things, our work and our fun,
Kindness and courage, and fights to be won-
Our Shepherd leads us till his work be done.
