Picture strangers travelling and following a star,
Searching for a newborn King they'd heard of from afar.
Long time they followed; Patient they followed,
Knowing only at its zenith they would see the King.
Kings have servants, wealth, and pow'r, and live in luxury,
But in Jesus' house the wise men found simplicity.
Gladly they worshipped him; rich gifts they offered Him,
Knowing only in this young child they had seen their King.
Often when we follow the Star we do not know
Where God's love will lead us or what His light will show.
Hopeful we follow; longing we follow,
Knowing only in our seeking we will see the King.
